A.U.S.S.I.E. Incorporated, New York
The large educational training consultancy in New York, the Australian and United States Services in Education, has engaged dk2 to develop a suite of digital training CD-ROMs for distribution in north America. dk2 are working with the AUSSIE networks, New York District Board of Education, and our Melbourne colleagues hi.com and Dusk Films to develop these materials.

Multimedia Victoria: Home Computer Compact Feasibility Study
dk2
was engaged by MMV to explore strategies for addressing issues emerging from the digital divide and to conduct a study of the potential feasibility of providing home computers to disadvantaged Victorian young people.

Intel - Teach Towards the Future (TTTF) Australian curriculum localisation
Intel has injected significant sums of money in the development and delivery into the TTTF program which is now operating on all continents and in 30 countries. dk2 were engaged by Intel to customise the training materials to make them relevant to an Australian educational context and provide them with an Australian voice.

IBM - On Demand Community training module development
IBM's On Demand Community is a philanthropic initiative by IBM which involves IBM volunteers working in the community at any location around the globe. dk2 were engaged by IBM to develop training modules (one element for program facilitators and one for participants) on Use of the Internet.

Eclipse
A wholly owned subsidiary of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, dk2 have worked with Eclipse on usability consulting, learning interaction design, instructional design and online content quality assurance.

The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) - elearning training
The ASC is exploring means and strategies for moving coaching and associated support materials online. dk2 were engaged by the ASC to conduct training for key stakeholders (Athletes Career education, Coaching and Officials, Human Resources and the Sporting Innovations team) on issues concerning elearning, learning management systems and the roadmap ahead.

The ANZ Bank
The ANZ Bank are currently developing a new software system. dk2 were engaged to conduct a user review of the system, and the training the bank has developed to support uptake and upskill employees in use of the system.

DE&T Victoria - curriculum@work training modules
curriculum@work
is an innovative online curriculum planning tool for Victorian teachers. It includes over 4000 teaching and learning activities. dk2 developed the teacher training modules to support use of the curriculum@work editorial workbench, its online publishing system.

MCEETYA (Ministerial Council of Education, Employment and Training Australia) ICT in Schools Taskforce - research
dk2
was engaged by the taskforce to conduct research into data collected in Australia, and globally on ICT use in the home, school and community.

MCEETYA ICT in Schools Taskforce - Learning in an Online World
2003/4 will herald the new iteration of the national 'Learning in an Online World' document. dk2 worked with the taskforce and high level representatives of curriculum from across Australia in developing a statement on a contemporary Australian learning environment and in conducting research into jurisdictional pedagogy statements across Australia.

The Le@rning Federation (TLF)- digital resources market research project
The Le@rning Federation is a national initiative developing a pool of online Australian / New Zealand content for use by Australian and New Zealand schools. dk2 were engaged by the TLF to conduct market research into the Australian/NZ multimedia education market and develop a snapshot from which gaps and opportunities were identified to inform further development of online educational content.

DE&T Victoria - ICT Teacher Capabilities
In 1997. DE&T Victoria developed and deployed the Learning Technologies Teacher Capabilities package. DE&T have now engaged dk2 to conduct a global review of ICT teacher capabilities / competencies programs and to develop high and low level recommendations for the development of a new program of ICT teacher capabilities for Victoria.

Distance Education Centre, Victoria (DECV) - Centre of Excellence Evaluation
The DECV have now completed a 2 year Centre of Excellence project in which 3 online courses were developed and delivered to DECV students. dk2 have conducted a final evaluation of this project and have provided the DECV and DE&T Victoria with recommendations for future directions in online course development and delivery.

The Le@rning Federation (TLF) - extant content review
The TLF have engaged dk2 to conduct first-cut reviews of digital content which may then be considered for eventual inclusion in the TLF learning object repository. dk2 designed the review checklist and complete a program of ongoing content review for the TLF.

Open University - United Kingdom - research
dk2
have worked in partnership with the Open University in global research into perceptions of the use, effectiveness and applications of ICT in schools.

St Paul's College
Elearning consultancy: dk2 consultants worked with the College staff and leadership teams to develop a comprehensive elearning plan for St Paul's. The plan addressed issues of people, content and infrastructure.

Membership of review panel for research articles.

National Materials Development Network (NMDN) - keynote conference address
Nikki Deighton has presented a keynote address at the national conference of the NMDN on issues related to Bridging the Digital Divide.

Australian Council of Education Leaders (ACEL)- articles
dk2 regularly contributes articles on contemporary educational elearning issues to ACEL.

In addition to consultancy work, we also provide customised training and training evaluations following dk2 workshops and training assessment tools.
